Hi all.

Good news.  cast’s should come off in 3 weeks!!

Got impression on my teeth friday and the temp. partial should be done in two weks.  hope to have 4 teeth pulled and put in new teeth by then.   My chin is finally healing after the 2nd time of having it cut open and drain.  yucky stuff.   trying to keep sane!!  please pray I can get fin. assitstance for the bills which are starting to come in…    Love and prayers to you.  Kathy

Hello Everyone,

After three doctor appointments, I am still alive.  Tuesday I got my stitches out of my mouth and lip.  Lo and behold, the doc asked if that was the usual size of my chin.  I told him that the night before one of my scabs openned and there was lots of blood.  This seemed to give him the information he needed to look closer.  Seems I had blood pockets and the blood needed to come out.  So being brave I managed to get through him using a scapel and making and opening in the wound to let more blood out.  They took a culture and all was clear.  Someone twice a day had to try to extract the blood.  At this point it is almost all gone and my chin is looking more normal.

Then I went to the orthopedic surgeon about my broken bones in my arms.  He came with good news to say there was not a brake in the elbow area and the other two bones are healing well and there is no need for surgery.  Then I asked if I would be able to work in a day care and he said as long as you don’t lift, everything is fine and he gave her a letter to give to the director of the day care program.

Last but not least we went to my favorite doctor. Dr. Anderson “The DENTIST!!”  Many of you know that this was a courageous event.  The decision that was made about my teeth is that after my chin if finally normal, I will go to the regular dentist and get an impression so he can make a temporary partial.  He thought it should cost about $200 and hopefully last until I can pay for a permanent replacement.  As soon as the temp. partial is about done, Dr. Anderson will remove the teeth.  Yes I checked to see if I could be put out.  I’m not that courageous.  I will be getting gas and an interveinous med that should keep me spacey during the procedure.  I sure hope this will only take a couple of week all together so that I will be ready for the day care.

Thanks for all your prayers and special gifts.  Love, Kathy

Here I am!  Carolyn is helping transcribe my news.

This is a short note of thanks for the prayers and responses to my e-mail.  Hope to keep you updated on healing journey and the situations I get myself into here at the monastery.  Hope to hear back from you all.  Soon to come is the beginning of the “Chick Inn” news.

 Blessing to everyone.
